Reservation terms.

A clear record of what the refundable USD $1 reservation does—and does not—secure.

1. Nature of the reservation

The Edition 01 Atelier Reservation is refundable. It is not a purchase of a fountain pen, a Kickstarter pledge, an investment, or a guarantee that a crowdfunding campaign will be approved, funded or fulfilled.

2. Planned priority access

If the planned Laroche Kickstarter campaign launches, each reservation guarantees access to one limited Founding Collector allocation held for 48 hours from launch. The planned private reward is USD $220—USD $30 below the planned USD $250 public reward. The reservation holder must complete a qualifying Kickstarter pledge within the stated window and comply with Kickstarter’s terms to claim the allocation.

3. Capacity and eligibility

The initial reservation allocation is limited to 100, with no more than one reservation per person. We may request reasonable information to match a Shopify reservation with a Kickstarter pledge. Using the same email address for both is the simplest verification method.

4. Refunds

Laroche will refund the USD $1 reservation to its original payment method when a qualifying Kickstarter pledge is verified. A reservation holder may also request a refund before launch. Laroche will refund all affected reservations if the campaign does not launch, is not approved, does not fund, or if Laroche cannot offer the stated reservation allocation.

To request a refund before launch, email support@larochefp.com from the reservation email address and include the Shopify order number. Laroche will locate the order in Shopify, record the request, return the full USD $1 to the original payment method, and send Shopify’s refund confirmation.

Refunds are initiated through Shopify. Once initiated, banks can take up to 10 business days to return the funds. Original payment-processing fees paid by Laroche are not deducted from the customer’s USD $1 refund.

5. No transferable discount code

The planned benefit is delivered through a private Kickstarter reward, not a Shopify discount code. Reservation access is personal and should not be sold or transferred.

6. Communications and privacy

Transactional messages about the reservation may be sent to administer it. Marketing email and SMS require separate express consent and can be unsubscribed from independently. See the Laroche Privacy Policy.
